Rogue Racers organise the Severn Bridge Half Marathon and 10k, on Sunday August 26th, this year. There are some fine city ‘halfs’ and 10ks in the south west of the UK, but this event is a little different, being over an iconic structure. Running across it, on a closed carriageway, is a memorable experience. In 2014 it was voted the “UK’s Best New Race” by readers of Runner’s World.
The cost of putting it on increases year on year, so they are keen to get the event ‘out there’ and encourage a few more runners to enter. There’s a free club place for every ten entrants. We may wish to organise a jolly club coach trip to the event?
