Welcome to the Stroud and District Athletic Club

We are an Athletics club based in Stroud, Gloucestershire that provides coaching and training for a wide range of athletic activities from beginners running, junior athletics, Cross Country all the way through to Elite running activities.

Whatever your interest or ability we can help.

We meet on Tuesdays and Thursday and details of where we meet can be found in the box below.

Stroud District Council Beginners Running Group

We have completed a very successful new beginners group for the staff of SDC and they achieved  30 mins non-stop running to "graduate". Huge thanks to Alison Robinson, who led the group, and her team, Laura Lakin, Brett Taylor, Bruce Neale, Debbie Worrall and Kirsty Woodward-Owen for helping to inspire the runners and supporting them to a great running experience. This has earned a donation of £176 for our Club charities and raised the Club's profile with SDC.

Track Open Meeting, Gloucester

Track Open Meeting hosted by Gloucester AC on Tuesday 4th June. Primarily aimed at 800m and 1500m runners, but there will also be 100m and 400m races. Virgin London Marathon Club Places Ballot - November 2019

Following the success of this year's London Marathon the Club is proposing to put in place a policy relating to how the ballot for Club places that we receive from UKA is administered.

Historically, each year UKA provides one or two entries into the London Marathon to affiliated clubs including ours.

The number of places provided depends on the number of paid-up UKA affiliated members in the Club.

Last year Kirsty Woodwood-Owen was drawn from the hat for the one place we had and she successfully completed the Marathon last weekend.
